Re-Opening of the PJnet FTP Archive!

With the server crash last week my FTP archive of shows was taken down. Luckily I was able to backup ALL the files before it crashed.... all 5 gigs of them.

So, without further ado, I will announce the Grand Re-Opening of the PJnet FTP Archive. You can use it by ftp-ing to ftp.pearl-jam.net and logging in with pjnet as the username and password.

If you aren't as tech savvy as some of us you can learn about by reading this Tutorial, or simply by clicking on this link: ftp://ftp.pearl-jam.net.

The archive holds many shows from 1990 to present, and I'm gonna start adding other shows I have that aren't on there yet (namely the boots from this tour). It also houses videos from letterman, music videos, and the ENTIRE MTV Unplugged session in great quality MPEG format!

At the peak of its operation this archive was transfering about 1 gig of data a day, and about 30 gig per month!

So, go there, download and enjoy!

The quality of the bham show is shit... it sucks. I haven't been able to find a good quality bham either.

hmmmm....i thought that I had a the b'ham show on cd somewhere, after it happened there was an immediate recording sent out....can't remember the quality....but check out http://allthoseyesterdays.net

there you will find who has what, and if 20/10 has it, they always rate it. Hope that helps

I got the show the day after. I'm almost certian I got it from 20/10, but I could be wrong. It was the only version they had.

I don't know why I read this post anyway since I think my computer has gone to computer hell.

Actually it's in Limbo. Cuz it still has the potential to work, but the power supply plug and the socket it goes into are broken and I can't seem to get them fixed.

Not that it would have had enuf memory for me to download stuff onto it anyway.

But whatevah.

Yea, the FTP server is up and down spradically. At any given time the load of the poor server reached about 40, which isn't good.

With the new server the ftp should be more stable as well.... After all, it'll have 70 GIG to work with! Hell, I think with a little work PJnet could house the worlds largest PJ show/song/video archive! That would be pretty neat. /images/smile.gif
