Is awesome!

The only problem is that my drive to work isn't long enough :dead:

I heard Death Cab, Cash, Decemberists, U2, and ESPN radio, all within a 20 minute period...

I'm in heaven

dood, you really can't beat it.

I got the Roady XT for 56 bucks on ebay, now I will send in the rebate for 30.

26 bucks for the receiver.

Called mom, parents got me a year subscription (a total of 18 bucks a month for them to have 2 radios going on XM)

But a single subscription is only 12.95

I seriously installed the whole thing in about 10 minutes. the hardest part is getting wires to stay where you want them.

the player came with 2 mounts. 1) is a vent mount (the one I am using) this clasps on to the vents on your car, most likely in the center console, above your stereo receiver, and it holds very nicely and looks super smooth.
2) Is an adhesive mount, that you can use to glue to the side of your stereo, but I thought it would be a little too far away, get in the way of people sitting in the passenger side, and look kind of weird.

Then, I'm set to go. I waited about 20 minutes for XM to get a read on my receiver, and BAM (I hate Emril) I have over 200 channels of commercial free, excellent reception, so much music and talk!

You seriously can't go wrong. I don't even think I'm giong to get a cd player installed anymore....

honestly

Cool beans Jake. I have had Sirius for 2 months now and love it. I personally think it is definitely worth the money....I mean, it costs a little over 50 cents a day, less than a single song from Itunes

"Songs and music have always inspired me. A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I've ever been on the other side of the mic," said Dylan. "It'll be as exciting for me as it is for XM."

Bob Dylan is one of music's most enduring performers. He has released more than 44 albums containing more than 600 songs that have been covered by more than 2,000 different artists ranging from The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Guns N' Roses to Duke Ellington, Garth Brooks, Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine. His last two albums have been critical and popular successes with 1997's Time Out Of Mind garnering three GRAMMY(R) Awards, including Album Of The Year. In 2001, he won an Academy Award(R) and a Golden Globe(R) for the song "Things Have Changed." In 2004 his best selling memoir, Chronicles Volume 1, spent 19 weeks on the New York Times' Bestseller List. For the past eighteen years Mr. Dylan has been a mainstay on the concert stage performing over a hundred shows a year around the globe.

"Bob Dylan epitomizes the American music experience and his unflagging integrity and vision defines everything we hope for XM to be," said Lee Abrams, Chief Creative Officer, XM Satellite Radio. "It is an honor to count Bob Dylan among the members of the XM artist family, and is further testimony of XM's commitment to create original music programming that makes a difference."

i'm toying with the idea of getting a new head for the car that will take an ipod adapter and an XM receiver.

but i just can't justify it since i never drive so it's just kind of fantasy.

well, the one i was looking at is the pioneer DEH-4700MP. then the CD-IB100 for the ipod interfacing. and whatever if i decided to go to XM, which is doubtful.

alpine is the other option since i've always used alpine in the past with zero issues.

a KCA-420i for the ipod interface and a CDA-9847 head or something. i don't know for sure.

i might just grab some good deals off of ebay as they pop up and then put them in when i have the time. i hate the stereo shops here in town.
