Hey everyone...I should have posted this yesterday but I forgot.
Mere and I talked a guy down on a 2004 Dodge Stratus...it went from having 2000 down, 260 a month...
to zero down, 185 a month. :) (72 months)
Like I said, it's a 2004, 49,000 miles on it. 2 owners, Carfax stated no wrecks, collisions, or anything.
Owned briefly in NJ, by a rental place, and then by one other person in NC.
We haven't decided...and we're wondering that if we could talk them down on this...that we have a chance for something else...
I just would like some opinions...about the Stratus, is it a good deal?
Any help would be great...I'm at work right now...so any posts, I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!
Sorry to bore you Hund

very high mileage it seems to me. i don't know how reasonable the price is, being i'm in canada and all and it's a different set of conditions.

meh..it's not that high of mileage....I'm guessing it was a rental car...they rent stratuses a lot....it's a good car...but I'm partial to dodge myself
what is the final price jake? talk him down one the PRICE..not the payments
you can check the kelly blue book value on it at www.kbb.com
ok...just read the post closer..it was a rental..hence the "high" mileage...still not overly high in my book..depending on the actual price of the car

49,000 miles isn't bad, even with an american car. i say, go for it -

can't remember what the actual price was...
under 10
and blue book is 11,500 or so
yeah...it was a rental, and I htink they are giving me a good deal on my car as a trade in...without even seeing it...

that's the car
I have found a few that have a better "look," lower mileage and about the same price...I'm lookin into those

man I hate white cars...lol
one last thing to always, always, always remember....take it to a mechanic and have them check it out...especially since you don't know a lot about cars....it's worth the time and money to do this before buying it...also, see if the dealer will give you a warranty on it

ohmygod!!!!
that looks almostjust like MY old dodge stratus :):):)
i freakin LOVED that car, jake!!!
we got ours used, also, however, the difference was that mine was a 6 cyl. and it was the top of the line dodge stratus (had lots of bells and whistles). it was a very cool looking and racer type of car. drove like a champ.
we never ever had a problem with it and the *racer* pearljam sticker looked friggen keen on the back left bumper thingy under the *stratus*. i would have a problem with a 4 cylinder car - they just dont have the pick up that a 6 has.
i had that car for about 6 or 7 years and pounded the miles on it. i actually cried when my husband surprised me with a new chrysler sebring. it was very sweet, but like i said i freaking LOVED that car.
good look doodie!!!
i had a stratus once. then it caught fire. it was a great car, though. (except when it caught fire)

Beta, how or why did your car catch on fire??
Beta, how or why did your car catch on fire??
the car had problems with the head gasket, a leak. we took it to the mechanic and we came back home. 3 minutes later some kids frantically knocked on our door saying our car was on fire:confused:

yeah - he moved his car, so the officer couldn't reconstruct the scene, so now it's up to the insurance companies to figure it out. what fun!
this whole car thing is a tool of the devil.
i just bought a new one and am in the process of selling my old one.
what a miserable experience.
