Did anyone watch this? I thought it was pretty cool. No I don't like Ricki Martin, but he did a great job with Richie Valen's music. No Idon't like Kid Rock, but he did a great job playing with Aerosmith. Dave Grohl was amazing with Queen. I thought it was pretty cool. Queen really knew how to rock!

I watched most of it...I can't stand Michael Jackson (creepy!!)
and Kid Rock annoys me ... tho he was alright w/ Aerosmith.
I think the guy from Steely Dan (is it Donald Fagen?) is creepy too...
Ricky Martin was good (could he be any gayer?)
but I like when the older black man who used to be a bus driver was accepting his award ... that was touching...
and keith Richards is soooo odd (keychains in his hair and all...)
I actually didn't see anything after Paul Simon (I've always liked him but he annoys me too with his baseball cap....heehee)
i would have liked to see more of Queen and Dave Grohl. And I missed the "All Star Jam"
I'll catch the rest when it's on again.

highlight? keith richards, without a doubt. it's obvious he's enjoying his life and, to me, he *IS* the literal definition of "rock & roll"...and for him to induct james burton was most appropriate....
highlight? no question, "tie your mother down" jam with queen and foos..
lowlight? fuckin camera shots of tommy mottola and all the other tight ass suits sitting there with their bimbo-girlfriends..lookatmeeee! lookatmeeee!

I saw them and I didn't like it at all. I was horribly displeased.

First, Michael J didn't perform which was a horrible letdown because EVERY other inductee performed. He also had to come up with some major BS about how he broke his foot. I would be okay with it if he just said he broke his foot, but instead he went into some 10 minute explination which made it seem really really fishy.

Second, Kid Rock butchered Aerosmith's song. He came it at all the wrong times. Don't get my wrong, he's talented as a musician, but NOT as vocalist. I can only imagine how it would be if his little sidekick Joe C were there (yes, I know he's dead).

Third, Ricky Martin's Richie Valens stuff was ok, but I personally think Lou Diamond Phillips did a way better job in La Bamba.

Fourth, could Bono and Melissa Ethridge do a WORSE cover of Bob Marley? To me this was the 2nd biggest disappointment of the entire show (behind MJ not performing). This was just absolutely horrible. I'm sure Bob was turing in his grave.

Add all that together and that makes one shitty show in my opinion. I coudn't believe I sat and watched the entire thing.

Oh, and to make it PJ related.... they can be inducted in just another short 15 years. We'll see who they pick to induct them. :)
