I have done it before, yes, but not quite in this way and as fast. The newest version of Windows Media player does a great job, not only putting mp3s from cds on to your computer but also adding the album art to it.
I am just loading my laptop with every cd that I want to put on there, and it's so fun..and fricken fast (even with dial up) to get it all working...
I have a folder full of ALBUMS now...and it's great
also, big thanks to the D man for hooking me up with some great shit...music...not real shit

by the way...i still rip to .wma because i use WMP...i don't like iTunes at all...i like organizing my music myself...and i don't have anything to rip to .mp3, or i would use that instead...

you can change the settings so it rips the files into MP3.
Tools > Options > Rip Music > then you can select from differnt wma files or mp3.
