i mean, how......HOW can a person be a supreme court justice without ever being a judge?

this is not a job where someone can learn as they go....its a lifetime appointment. responsible for interpretting the laws of our country.

i mean, this man makes a decision, with little apparent intellectual thought of the consequences of his actions, and he just sticks to these decisions staunchly and un-moving.

if someone has any valid argument for the worthiness of this woman to this position, other then the fact that she is w.'s choice, please feel free to enlighten.

also, what is the deal with w. surrounding himself with these women, who have been by his side for years, who are never married, i will assume they arent gay since he is so morally opposed to homosexuality. i mean, what does laura have to say about this?

i'm going back to bed. please wake me when this train wreck is over. or by 4 so i can get ready for this concert tonight :)

Cathy,

He doesn't even have the qualifications for job as President so why would you expect him to apply different requisites to those he appoints? Duh :P

you forget that we don't mandate certain requirements...we mandate citizenship and age...beyond that, it's up to the citizenry to decide. i don't like him either...

as for the supreme court nominee...really, no judicial experience? that's absurd. that's what the justices do - they take two confounding arguments and mesh them OR they pick a side...and then explain it. ugh!

I mandate a brain. I mandate a heart. And I mandate concern for your fellow citizens. Those to me are requirements which this fuckface does not have.

Those to me are requirements which this fuckface does not have.that's why you voted the way you vote. apparently, 53% of the VOTING citizenry doesn't feel that way. i'm not saying that i disagree with you. those are things that i require for the person/persons i am voting for as well...but, it's a personal requirement...as opposed to a constitutional one, which would make more sense, and, thus, be preferred to the present situation.

"hi, what's your IQ, sir?"
"..uh...i'll just go ahead and go now...can i still get the free continental breakfast?"

GWB is still trying to figure out
how a drunk cheerleader got to be
president.................

hmmmm...they put a man with no judicial experience on the supreme court? maybe putting someone who is PRO-CHOICE on the supreme court isn't such a far-fetched idea afterall.....

"In fact, of the 109 justices who have served in all of U.S. history, there were 40 — nearly 40 percent of the total — who never served a day as a judge."
