I've been dying to cut my hair and do something new with it,but It's curly, and taken me a long time to grow out,and it isn't even that long,..but I'm bored!@!/images/tongue.gif

HOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I understand how difficult it is doll. Had to go through the same thing when I was 7yrs old. Except that I couldn't wait to do it. Mind you if it was now. I don't think I would be able to.

WELL DONE MY LITTLE PRISM:)

like on one of those episodes of maury povich when there's these women with floor-length hair who haven't gotten it cut in 20 years or whatever and their daughters bring them on and say, "please give my mom a makeover!" hehe... i've been watching too much TV. my hair used to be almost waist length when i was about 14 so i kept gradually getting it cut shorter until last summer (i was 18) when it was about an inch long (see my pic on CJWM)... i'm letting it grow out now... that was just too short.

I'm one of those hair twirlers, I usually have a straw or a pen in my hand now.

I had 12 inches cut off and I had them put it in a ponytail and I donated it to Locks of Love. It' still a couple of inches below my shoulders so it's not to short.

well, funny you should mention it...I have another I finally did it thing happen earlier this evening....well, as some of you may know my daughter is a cheerleader and tonight was the final banquet, the final cheerleading thing that I had to attend for this year, my daughter got her letter and well so I had to attend....You don't know how releived I was to know that this hell is over at least until next school year....I don't exactly fit in with the other "Cheer Moms" (I'm sorry but I could never be that plastic)
My daughter said, "Mom be ready to go at 6:40, that's when our ride is picking us up," so ok, I had the fruit tray ready and had my stuff together and was ready to go...well it's 6:40 and the door bell rings and there's her friend Brianna to pick us up,and as I walk out the door I see this stretch limo in front of my place, and I was like "uuuhhh, what's that for?" well, my daughter and her friend kinda giggled and yelled "surprise".....holy shit my jaw dropped on the ground....I had never riden in a limo in my entire life....and to top it all off all those stuck up Cheer Moms were floored when they saw me get out of the limo at the school....tehe
Anyway at the banquet itself ...they gathered for some final group pictures and my daughter is always the one in the very front ,because she's the only one that can do the splits.....well there she is in front and she is the only one not wearing her cheerleader socks , what was she wearing?... P.J. SOCKS....I can't wait to get those pictures developed
Well on to the only spoiler of the evening...after I got my plate and went to sit down the woman next to me was the wrestling cheer coach, and she didn't have a clue as to who I was (I only went to the football and basketball games)...anyway, the Mom sitting across from me (one of only 2 that would ever even talk to me) mentions my daughter's name...and the coach sitting next to me says in a very nasty tone "oh, yeah the barbie doll"...not realizing that she was sitting next to the mother of the kid that she had just refered to as a barbie doll....well, just as I was gonna ask her what she meant by that remark she had to get up and do the speech stuff...so, I never got the chance to ask what she meant...this is gonna bug the fuck outta me for the rest of eternity....my daughter is probably the least plastic girl on that squad of 15....shit, my kid can't afford to be plastic, she actually has to use her brains...I am baffled as to why someone would refer to her as being a barbie doll??

first off, congrats and on behalf of those who will benefit from your heartfelt and generous donation to 'locks of love'...thank you thank you thank you...

next, some people don't realize how much THAT much hair means to a woman. it's a personal thang...(bluecow, i saw that maury show..) it's akin to cutting off your hand to some women... i'm inspired by you, prism...my goal is to do that "ok, now you're 40, time to cut your hair" thing in..what?..17 months?..ugh!

and a big "aw fuck you" for the cheap ass 'barbie-doll' comment by the (village)idiot in reference to your daughter. blessed are the ignorant, for they know not what they do...and they're not worth the time to try and figure out either...

congrats to your daughter too!
