nice :)

i saw the lead singer of Days of the New on that show called intervention..
he seems to have a real problem, which is sad :(

and he is only in his early 20's,
so when that first song of theirs came out
he must have been about 17 or 18, which is crazy

anyways,
random facts
lol

lolhe is four days younger than i am, allison - he's 26 - and it is very sad...i love so much of his music...actually, all of it. i thought he was doing okay until i was over at their board the other day and the moderator posted a message about travis still fighting his addictions - but that the music is still inside him...

============

Over the past few months, especially since the airing of the A&E Interventions show, there has been a lot of concern and speculation about Travis, his health and well-being. He continues to struggle with his addiction and I don't think there is anyone who knows how this will all play out.

As Travis' friend and moderator of this message board, I will do my best to keep all of you, his friends and fans, up to date on what I know. I talk to Travis on a fairly regular basis and so I feel pretty clued in as to what he is up to and going through (as best as a friend can know).

I realize that most of you have heart-felt desires to continue to know exactly how Travis is doing. However, I also want to respect Travis' privacy, so I ask that there is some sense of balance in the chat that revolves around his personal life. I just need to let all of you know that I will delete posts that cross the boundary of fairness and privacy (completely my judgment call).

For anyone who doubts whether Travis is still capable of creating music, I thought I'd conclude this post with a quick recounting of Travis' stay here at my house about a month ago. After sleeping overnight on our couch, Travis got up, went out to his van and came back in with a guitar case in hand. As he opened up the case, I was blown away to see the Taylor guitar that he had smashed a while back completely restored. He sat on the couch and started slowly strumming the Taylor and all of a sudden our home was filled with such beautiful music. Travis ended up playing and singing for several hours that day. He actually started composing a new song, working through the chords and lyrics right here in our house. The song that poured out of him brought tears to my eyes becuase his creative spirit is so strong and his music is soul deep. Even in the depths of darkness, chaos, and addiction, Travis has not lost his connection to the source of his music.

Travis still has a god-given gift to share with the world if he can just walk through to the other side of his addiction.

==================

anyway, it makes me sad...

your mom is cool, too!

and i have a limited taste in music. actually, its not like i dont like other stuff, im just too lazy to listen to it. so i turn on wxpn, the local indie-college station here and listen to all sorts of new and different stuff, which im sure is included in the above list, but since i dont always catch who was singing what, i just dont really know.

anywho.......

I'm especially enjoying how much Ryan Adams you've collected. That kid has skills!

Oh yes...and any Johnny Cash is good cash!

you aren't kidding - my roommate and i have about the same taste in music - i like everything he likes...but i get way more rocking than him - so, i'm lucky. i have good roommates...the discussions are usually pretty good - and then drunkardly...hahaha

always good to have a decent relationship with the people you pay bills and live with--even better if you can exchange music. I've only had 2 good roomates---ever, including the one I currently live with.
