...awhile back I asked about Led Zeppelin and Beta stepped up and gave me a nice list of songs to check out. At the time, thought I appreciated her effort, I was not that impressed with what I was hearing. Now, a lot like Interpol, I have went back and listened to some selections...and I have a new appreciation and fondness for the sounds, textures, layers, and beauties of the music. So, thank you, Beta...:) It's a whole new world after all.

well, you would have to ask beta that one - because i just went through my brother's cds and listened to the songs on the list - and i have long since lost that list - but if it wasn't for her...i never would have given them a chance...

aw cool! you've seen the light, dominic!
and I can't find the list either, broken.

by the way, I've been on an insane Interpol kick lately. That and the Arcade Fire.

from the opening notes of Funeral, i was hooked on that album - i like to sit in the dark, as dark as possible, and just listen to it - headphones - you don't get the same umph without them. great, great stuff - well, either way - i'm gonna get the led zeppelin box...so that list you made me some time ago is meaningless now except for it's eye-opening valuem, which may be immeasurable anyway...peace

Anthem movie!
That is such a tremendous movie, I've always loved it...(makes note to get it on dvd, only have it on vhs)

Dominic, just save yourself thought and pick up anything you can find.
You'll end up doing that anyway since you've gotten the bug.

For years, anytime I have been in record stores selling vinyl, I have searched for an original copy of 'Led Zeppelin Live on Blueberry Hill'. It was the first Zeppelin bootleg, taped from a show in L.A. in 1970. Never been able to find it. There are a lot of different versions of it out there, it's supposed to be one of THE BEST live boots ever taped of them.
I can't even imagine what an original copy would go for now. It's a double live album....
check out the setlist...

Immigrant Song,Heartbreaker,Dazed & Confused,Bring It On Home,That's The Way, Bron-Yr-Aur,Since I've Been Loving You,Organ Solo/Thank You,What Is And What Should Never Be,Moby Dick,Whole Lotta Love (includes Boogie Chillun',Movin' On,Some Other Guy,Think It Over,Honey Bee,The Lemon Song),Communication Breakdown (includes Good Times Bad Times,For What It's Worth,I Saw Her Standing There),Out On The Tiles,Blueberry Hill.

Those are two awesome bands. I was listening to Arcade Fire a bunch last week and this week went back to Radiohead, member of my Holy Trinity. It's no coincidence that they're all amazing live acts too.
