I was in the car and I tuned to the radio briefly... They were playing "Hunger Strike." When the song was over, the DJ was like "that was the band called Temple of the Dog. You heard Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, and, of course, Eddie Vedder." I just smiled like... "of course... /images/smile.gif" It was like she was saying who else could it be, you know? I got a kick out of the way the DJ phrased it. Like CC needed an explanation of who he was, but Eddie was just Eddie, of course. And he didn't have to be identified by his band, he is simply Eddie Vedder, of course. It was classic.

An aside, I should really play "name that pj or pj-related tune" because i heard like a half second of the song, just like one guitar note, and I was like "ooooooooh i know i know this... i know this is an important song..." But give me the other half of the second and I would have known exactly what it was.

Yeah, and the other nite I was watching tons of trashy mtv (no kidding... I watched part of that janet jackson icon thing, then two episodes of the real world/road rules challenge, then the andy dick show, then undressed... I mean I WATCHED Undressed, i didn't GET undressed. Altho I probably did cuz then i went to bed so i had to put on my pjs...) Anywho, I felt SOOOo warm and fuzzy when I saw the commercials for the rock weekend or whatever they're having... I don't have MTV2 but you know, the did show like 2 seconds of Eddie on the commercial for the programming. /images/tongue.gif It was exciting. They also showed like 1 second of the alive video.

BLEH I need a dvd player.

p.s. Guess what? I was in the car on the way home from the grocery yesterday (damn... I heard hunger strike on the way TO the grocery, and this on the way home...) and the college radio station was playing none other than SAVOY TRUFFLE!!! /images/smile.gif I turned it way up... I've never heard that on the radio... I think they were having some fundraiser and htey were playing all food-themed songs, I dunno. Anyway, it was exciting.
