buddy update

since it was asked on the other thread...

joey is doing remarkably well! he woke up last week on wednesday after they took him off the ventilator. he quickly recognized his mother and sister and asked about other family members. on thursday he was moved out of the ICU and upgraded in his condition. today he still improves and the doctors are amazed at his quick recovery. they say he may be out of the hospital by the end of the week. at this point they don't think there will be any permanent damage but he does have some major rehab coming up.

thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers...its great to have all you here to support joey, his family, and myself!

I was thinking about your friend quite a bit since I read your story last week.
