V for (small) victory that is. No dead in pools of maroon below though! (you can all relax now)/images/tongue.gif
I just returned from a court appointment regarding the temporary restraining order with "the babysitter"- I tell you, it was nice to tell my story to a person in a black robe who actually listened to me. I was very prepared with documents stating the reasons why the restraining order did not need to be in place any longer, along with detailed descriptions of how the statements she made were false. I also got to explain why I wanted her to know the truth in the first place, that I had realized there was no way I was going to be able to force her to acknowledge the truth and that I was satisfied with knowing that the truth had at least been read. I stated that I put faith in knowing in my soul that one day the truth will be revealed, that I hoped for her sake, but moreso for Asher's sake that it didn't take her 9 years to figure it out. I got to say, on the record, that he is a charmingly manipulative man who seeks younger women for his victims. I don't care if she scoffed at all of it, I stated the truth, on legal record, and some day the truth shall prevail... even if she never feels the repercussions, I KNOW he will.
So the order that restrained me from being anywhere near her had been changed to a no contact order *between* us- if either of us are in the same area as the other, we are not to acknowledge the other's presence. No problemo, Judge! The best part, I think, was seeing how nervous she looked. There she was looking totally homely in jeans and a t-shirt, no make up and bed-head while I was dressed in my skirt and heels and all the fixins... after the hearing, we had to go to the clerks office to pick up papers, and I stood tall in line while she stood off to the side, fidgeting, then she looked at her watch and walked out. I don't think she was very comfortable. It was hilarious.
Ya mess with the bull, you get the horns, sweetie.

And the rivers shall open for the righteous, someday.
