let's just kill ALL of the animals - maybe if they were required to do a more comprehensive on-site environmental impact statement they wouldn't have these FUCKING "surprises"

Gross. But not surprising. I don't understand why the environment takes a backseat ... or rather, gets stuck in the backseat. To use a tired phrase, just 'cause I'm tired, it's short-term gain for long-term pain.

Illogical.

in a way, i want to say that we don't deserve it because it's not fair for 2% of the population to make such a huge decision for the rest of us. on the other hand...it's not really just 2% - we all do our part to speed the whole process along...using, wasting, repeat...

exactly. we all do it in a way or another. but having a president like that doesn't help.
and 2% is a way to look at it, but still... it was like, 60 million people voted for this fuck. that's a fucking lot. it wasn't a mistake or a technicality this time.

i couldn't agree more - here is a stretch - we had 60% of the population vote - 53% of those that voted decided to vote for bush - so 32% of america voted for bush - 40% decided not to vote so they didn't care if he stayed in office...if you don't care if he stays in office, you are, by inaction, sort of casting a vote for that man [are you still with me?] so, if you go by that logic - 72% of america either wanted george bush in office or didn't care that he was our president. that's a scary figure.

having a president like this, who will push such an agenda, makes it hard because there are "minions" who agree with him and will blindly follow it because they think he knows what is best for them and will do what is best for them because he cares.

the first law of ecology is that EVERYTHING is related to everything else. there is not a more true statement - if you think about the trickling effect.
