she's a punk! so speaking of shoes, didja get any spiffy ones lately? i'm in the middle of a sad cheap shoes dilemna. i've been looking for a pair of, um i don't know how to describe them other than steve madden makes a lot of them and they're sort of granny style/ballet shoe types of deals, and the first episode is that i was at my favorite thrift store and there were a pair of unbelievable cute [insert shoe genre]s. but they were size 6.5, not gonna happen. then there's this other pair of steve maddens at famous footwear that are really really cute, but they're black and i want brown. then there's a decent rip off pair at payless that are brown and cute, but they don't have my size. guess i'll just keep wearing my danskos for awhile....

damn, those red units are *pimp* my real shoe fantasy is over these blood red shoes, i don't know who makes them, they are a variety of mary janes, but flat and with the top open to the base of the toes (does that make sense?) and the cute little strap and omg they are to die for. they are also $90, waaaaaaahay out of my price range. i'm going thrift store shopping later, thank god. and also, those boots are the shizzle. which flavor are you getting? damn they rock.

in the picture they are claret
in real life they are 'grandmas old big round beads necklace and matching clip on earrings RED'
way red
but I still love them, but i was actually hoping for CLARET
and i just want to be able to not have to puddle hop for the next five months but they do make me feel very five years old / twenty eight year old puddle stomper hip

well then, thanks for adding a little excitement to this lady's day :) and about the jobbage, like i been sayin, i'm still stickin with the plan of if i don't get a job by jan. then i'm buying a car and moving.. somewhere. somewhere where i might find a job and some fun times. so the wheels are slowly but surely turning. i had a job interview yesterday for a mule deer gig in colorado. the dude sounded hot on the phone and he just graduated from MSU with an M.S. on a wolf/elk study in Yellowstone. i'm in the top 6 of 65 on that one. also i have a *big* interview on monday for the broad-ass job, can't remember if i whined to you about this situation or not, but anyhoe, it's a high stakes situation. but if i got it, the $$$ would be flowin! anywayz, i just can't wait to know what the hell i'm going to be doing, and altho i'm scared as always about starting a new life by myself somewhere foriegn, i soooo know that it's what i need and that it will likely be fruitful. blabbity blab.

I am jumping into this shoe conversation BOOTS first :P There will more than likely be no men that post any response on here, but that's OKAY!!!!!
I used to buy el cheapo shoes when I was younger, but seems as I've gotten older my shoe tastes have become more expensive as well. I mean I love my Clark Hannah's!! They are the most comfy shoes ever. I think that by the time I'm in my mid to late thirties I will be like Carrie Bradshaw spending $800 on shoes. Does anyone else here watch/watched 'Sex & The City' and loved Carrie just b/c of her shoe collection!?!?!?!??! Maybe it's just me................
Damn you Jami.............now you got me on a shoe high :P

the value of good shoes is not to be underestimated
they affect your feet, knees, back, posture
it all started for me when i worked for Danner boots and got to attend the largest footwear shows in the US a few times a year.
SCADS upon scads of every type of shoe available, and for industry people, wholesale or less of course
got me WAY spoiled
i refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes
the Rack is good for shoes, if you can handle the crowds. ugh.

I just did this and I highly recommend it. Scariest thing I've ever done, but it's been a blast thus far. Good luck with the job hunt.

rock on with your bad self! so what's your new gig? if nothing else, a change at least distracts a person for awhile.

well, i made some finds on my thriftstore quest. i got a down coat (i've been looking for one for awhile), it was $10-a good deal for a down coat, but definately the most costly item i've ever bought from this particular store. and a belt that is kick ass, and a black shirt for my job interview on monday, luck would have it that it is also a shirt that i'm sure i'll wear on my own time too. so i scored. but damn it, no cute shoes! and i went to pay-for-less to see about the brown shoes i want and they told me the only way i could get them in my size was to order them and wait 10-14 days. i think i'm gonna go back to saying fuck it, i can't afford shoes right now, no matter how cheap they are...

I honestly own two pairs of shoes that I actually wear.. My Docs & may Vans.. In the summertime I have a billion pair of flip flops that I wear.. Even if I buy new shoes I hardley wear them, so I'm better of not buying them & spending my money on other things..
