i like the covers of both cds, cool pictures. i'll probably end up buying the lennon disc, that sounds worthwhile..one of my favorite cds is the "Imagine" soundtrack. as for the neil young one.. maybe it's because he's had so many projects and so many albums, but doesn't that tracklist look a little weird? maybe it's just me. thanks for the heads up though

Is there a particular Neil Young album I should get since I have none (shameful) or is this greatest hits pretty good?

Decade has always seemed like a good place to start. it's a compilation of 35 of his greatest songs from 1966-1976, including work he did with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.
as far as single albums go, my favorite are Harvest and On the Beach. the former has a little more of the pop-ish sound, as poppy as Neil Young ever gets, anyway. On the Beach tends towards more of the drawn-out instrumental side of the music.
of his more recent albums, i'd have to recommend Mirrorball, especially considering that this is a PJ board and the band weighs heavily on the album. that's a great one, definitely.
i can't decide which one to recommend the most, you'd better seek a second opinion
