there were 11 states that voted for the ban on same-sex marriages, and in all 11 states, the vote passed in overwhelming numbers... so sad
the way it was worded was really confusing too.. it's like it was asking your opinion rather than should this ban take effect.

"marriage may be valid only when between a man and a woman...a marriage from another state or foreign jurisdiction between persons of the same gender is void in [said state]."

oh the hypocrisy. That from a country whose biggest star is Britney Spears and a country who couldn't get enough of a kiss between her and Maddona for like, 1 year.
And that's not even the issue.

oh, we're conservative when it's convenient!

i seriously think people voted against it by mistake
i had to read it 4 times before i voted..
it wasn't really a question, it was a statement and the choices were "yes" or "no"
i wasn't expecting to vote on this.. i hadn't heard anything about it, so i'm sure others weren't expecting it either
it needs to be refuted

Im glad we didnt get that question on our ballot. Knowing me and my occasional blonde moments I would have read it wrong and voted "no".

If they are trying so hard to ban peaceful loving unions between two people, why don't they ban divorces and make husbands and wifes who got married for the wrong reasons stay together... If they want to protect the sanctity of marriage.... BAN DIVORCE.

Holy Christ... I want to move to Europe.
