beta and i met up in atlanta last weekend and had a great time. i never wanted it to end
we saw R.E.M. saturday night. it was a great show, my first R.E.M. show. we took some cool pictures...here's one that i took of Michael Stipe with his Kerry tshirt:

i only have my pictures online so far, i should have Beta's pictures from the show online sometime tomorrow night, but if you wanna see them (full size), just go here: http://www.joewhaley.com/rem102304/
one of my favorites is "Driver 8" and i don't think they've played it in a while, but i guess since it was a "hometown" show, they played it, and i managed to shoot a 10 second video clip of it.. it's here if you wanna see: http://www.joewhaley.com/rem102304/rem102304_driver8.MPG (right click/save)
atlanta was cool, but all the smaller towns that surround atlanta are cooler. we did a lot of vinyl shopping.. i got a couple pj vinyls that i was missing, and a john lennon/yoko ono "double fantasy" vinyl.... beta snagged a neil young "harvest" vinyl...both of them old, but sweet condition. it was fun driving all over the place finding the vinyl shops..., sometimes getting lost, but that's half the fun...

we went to six flags on sunday morning.. i'd never been on a rollercoaster before, and it might be a long time before i go on another :P beta made me sit on the very front car on my first ride.. and i got a little banged up on one of the older wooden coasters..i only rode a couple, she rode them all..

Beta had an idea to record a cover of Snoop Dogg's "What's My Name" while we were there.. so we did this back at the hotel... i love it, it's so funny. if you don't download it, you suck.. it's only like 3 mb
