another one!!

that's one popular guy

happy birthday again

have a good evening

does the ccfa communicate on an international level? my sister-in-law is a member in toronto - is it a global thing or is each group it's own entity?

just wondering how everything gets pooled together to look for a cure

(I saw Jason's post first.)

Happy birthday again. :)

I read about Whirlyball in the Rolling Stones cover story on Alice in Chains. I think it was an early '96 edition - ? Sounds really cool. Have fun!

Unfortunately there is a lot of bureaucratic bullshit that comes with CCFA's fundraising. I think that can be said about any non-profit (and to be honest, we're one of the better charities). Here's the breakdown for CCFA itself (and this is only in the US. Any Canadian CCFA's are separate).

Research -- 27%
Education and Support Services -- 55%
Management and Fundraising -- 18%

There is a lot of good information HERE about how money is spent and how we compare. As you can see, 82% of money raised goes to Education, Support and Research. Keeping "management expenses" below 20% is a Great!

Oh, and thanks again for the birthday wishes! :)
