...pondered this thought on the drive home today, listening to ed thank all those involved with PJ since the beginning (on the vegas boot)...and i was wondering..in your opinion..who do you think is the brains behind pearl jam?
i mean, there's ed, who writes and sings and does the interviews, etc., but then there's kelly curtis...mike's pretty quiet...but stone and jeff have been joined at the hip the longest...

who's the one everyone turns to for the big decisions?

my opinion: it's a collective effort, but i think ed gets the last word.

I think it's the fans who control a lot. It's simple supply and demand, the band knows that we want a lot of material out of them because we fuckin love those guys, and now they are 'famous' enough and have the $$$ to give back. Without us, the would be nothing and they'd be the first to admit that. So the answer is us.

I'm sure it's a collective effort however I'm willing to bet Ed has final decision on most discussions.

i agree with ardy and anne...collectively the band makes decisions based on what the fans want (there you go poopy) and my bet is ed has made many of the "final decisions"...
