In the past three days, I have seen: One pair of shoes, one single shoe (like 5 min after i saw the pair of shoes), one pile of textbooks, one HUGE book of art or something, and one backpack... all abandoned... I mean, well there were no humans anywhere remotely near the objects, and like... the shoes and textbooks were outside, and the art book was in a building's entrance where nobody was present, and now the backpack is in this little nook here where I am in the computer lab and it's been here for like two hours.

The shoes were the first things I saw, and it reminded me of a time a few months ago when I saw like a pair of gloves, then a scarf way up in a tree (perhaps someone was up there being very eddie vedder but left it?), then another glove, and I was thinking some murderer was on campus and was leaving little mementos of his victims around (yeah I'm kind of paranoid). That wasn't the end of the story. While I was looking at the gloves some man with a scary look on his face walked by and was like "happy holidays..." even tho the holidays were like 2 weeks away. So then I was convinced he was the murderer.
So anyway, I saw the shoes and a similar scenario popped into my head.

I didn't think much about it again til yesterday when I saw the pile of books on a bench outside. Then I started wondering if this was one of those experiments to see the honesty of human nature. Like a test to see how many people would steal the books or whatever. Then today I saw the fat art book and it made me wonder even more... And now th backpack... What's going on? I haven't taken any of the stuff... The shoes... don't think that was a part of the experiment cuz they were real ugly shoes, but that was just random. The first pair was just outside of ben & jerry's ice cream. The single shoe was outside on a ledge by a building on campus. That shoe was a bit mroe attractive, i guess, but not my thang... but the first pair looked cheap and like no one woudl miss them.

but enuf about the shoes, what about all these friggin expensive books and backpacks filled with who konws what? I'm getting gosh darned tempted to look inside! That art book looked real cool anyway... and the books on the bench, i forget what they were but remember thinking they looked interesting.

Okay I just checked th ecomputer that the backpack is sitting next to and it appears that no one logged off the email or the computer... I just checked cuz what if there is a bomb in the bag or somet hing? or what if someone forgot it? Fuck... the bomb thing... that's scary now I'm getting the hell outta here.

Wow, Nic, that is a pretty interesting set of circumstances you have there...
Hey... didn't the Uni-bomber go to the U of M? Or was he a prof there? hmmmm....

and when the hell did they get a Ben & Jerry's shop in Ann Arbor? damn.
