i got this email today:

Dear Friend,

We’re about a week away from the Vote for Change Tour ticket pre-sale.

Over 165,000 people have signed up through MoveOn PAC for a chance to buy tickets. We’re working to secure as many pre-sale tickets for you as possible, but it’s unlikely we’ll end up with enough tickets for everyone who signed up. To give everyone a fair shot, we’re running an email lottery where we will send out ticket purchase codes and instructions to a number of you selected at random. If you’re receiving this email, you’re in the lottery – just stay tuned next week for an email with the code. If you’re not selected, we’ll be sure to let you know in time to get tickets from TicketMaster when they go on sale to the general public.

In the mean time, we’ll be sending you MoveOn alerts that make it easy to get involved in this critically important election. I’ve attached the first one below – asking you to take a look at some MoveOn PAC ads featuring real MoveOn members and to pick your favorite one. You can check them out at:

As Bruce Springsteen said in his beautiful New York Times op-ed last week, “Our American government has strayed too far from American values. It is time to move forward. The country we carry in our hearts is waiting.”

Sincerely,
--Eli Pariser, Executive Director

probably everyone who signed up at moveon.org will get it. (i just checked and, i got it too.) but i'm not holding out any hope of winning the lottery:)

(i was excited when the talk of the shows first started, but i'm resolved to the fact that i just can't make it to any of these shows (too far away, work schedule, money...). i'll just have to wait for the next tour.)

i'm too lazy to read that whole email...

does this mean that
if i didn't join moveon.org, i have no chance
at tickets? at the presale?

or.....

will i be ok depending on tenclub to
have some tickets available to me
because i'm a member....?

or.....
