if you're home watching tv tonight, you might wanna keep an eye on the DNC footage, cause there's a rumor started from a boston radio station that Eddie and Bono might play an acoustic set in support of Kerry.
don't know if it's true.. like i said it's a rumor, but Eddie has been spotted in Boston hangin' around in a jazz club ( :cool: ) this week.. this coming from a boston news website.

I watched tonight, but I missed most of the performances. I did get to see Carole King though, lol. After the speech was over, and the local news channel started rolling the credits, they did show Bono singing that song he did for that Leonardo DiCaprio movie..Gangs of America I think?


The music choices for the night seemed to kick ass. Walk out to Springsteen, and end with U2 and VH. Kick ass. :)

so, i missed the whole thing because i was hangin with pjnets two resident dentists and the finn brothers :cool: and i went over the the bruce sites and it seems aparent that bruce didnt play live....

but would someone tell me what happened?

if he walked out to bruce, which song?
and did bono play LIVE after kerry was finished?

He won me over... and I was sitting on the fence(not the republican side, the independant side). I thought his speech was really good..... but Im just one person.... he's got lots of work to do if he wants more. I really like his wife... she's got guts.... and she says "shove it".. America needs more kick ass women like that. She doesn't seem to take shit from anyone. :)

As for the songs.... Kerry walked out to Bruce but it was a song Ive never heard of before. It might be a newer song, check back at the Bruce sites, someone might know there. Bono didn't play live after Kerry ended his speech, but "Beautiful Day" played as soon he stepped away from the Podium. Dreams by Van Halen played after. I almost got yelled at last night cause I cranked the volume up too high, lol.

I missed the convention every night this week because Ive been mentally drained, but I think last night was the most important night for me not to miss. I was pretty energized after it was all over. :)
