I haven't been around much between werk, daddying and music....
just got into a new band, not playing any PJ (yet) but good solid players with great attitude and even better gear,
leaving for a week at the beach in a week,
remembering last year coming back from the beach just in time to catch the shows, especially the philly show with grooooooooovN and Csmooth and green disease and Smirks and DOMINIC and having a blast and all.......
got great seats for the Dead this summer and Rush the same week in august........
OK, here's the best part, OK? My brother takes his wife to see David Bowie last month. He's not much of a Bowie fan, but his wife wanted to go, anway he says that the show was good and the band he had was awesome, but the most memorable part of the evening was in the parking lot after the show......seems that a guy was seling t-shirts in the lot that he had made up at home on his PC...the shirts bore a likeness of Bowie wearing a rather "smug" expression with the caption below that read
" I - F U C K E D - M I C K - J A G G E R"
any way I hope you all have a good summer

Cath-
there is a very nice new amphi-theater in Scranton which is only about a 30 min. drive from my house (as opposed to 1 1/2 hours to PNC or Philly)...I've seen Petty, Neil Young and the Allman Bros there.
I hit the "buy" button on the Dead's web site the moment that tix went on sale and got 26th row on the aisle...I haven't seen them live since my 28th show in '93
Looking real forward to Rush too because I've never had a chance to see them either (some kinda nonsense about seeing the dead 28 x and PJ 6 or 7) - lawn seats for Rush so I'm sure that the heels and elbows will be flying

I wanted to see Rush at PNC, but Im gonna be on vacation when they are coming by I think..I don't think I'd have anyone to go with me if I did have the time. No one I know near me likes Rush, lol. I had to miss out on the Who for the same reason.
I still refer to the PNC just as the Arts Center because thats what its always been since I was a child. Its a great place to see a show. Just like the Tweeter Center in Camden but much smaller and intimate. Plus, its the "place where a UFO landed and decided to stay" :D
The summer of '03....such awesome memories. I miss them, and all you'se guys. :)
