Hey- I'm drunk, and it's Saturday night, and they're forcasting a blizzard for tommorrow night. Right now they're saying that it's gonna start snowing Sunday evening, snow all day Monday right into Tuesday morning. A storm like hasn't been seen in 30 years (I keep picturing a snowplow flipping over backwards while trying to crest a 60' wall of snow with the caption "the perfect snowstorm"). The forcast is for 14"-22" of snow. My fridge is full of beer, my cupboard full of food, my shelf full of good toones to play.
If any of you other east coast guys want to post what kinda snow fall you've had and what you did to see yourself through this blizzard, I for one would live to read it.
Be safe.

I live in Central/Northern NJ and we're expecting to be hit hard. I remember back in the Blizzard of '96 I measured about 24" in my front yard. It's going to be really interesting to see what we get dumped on us.... and better yet, it's going to be really interesting to see if I'm going to be able to get to work on Monday and Tuesday.
You can expect nice little reports from me. /images/smile.gif

Well to the both of you, good luck. Perhaps you'll get a snow day just like when you were children.

I have to give you credit for your typing while being drunk. I tried to post when I was pissed and couldn't form one sentence without a typo.

OK, now it's Sunday morning and the forcast has been upped to 22" - 32" in the Pocono Mountain region. I live dead center in Pocono Township. My back hurts already, and I haven't started shoveling yet.
Two and a half feet of snow. Wow.
As for a "snow day", there may be 2 days before we can actually go to work and stuff.
We may not be "movers and shakers" like the west coast crowd, but I guess we do get our share of natural disasters, too.
Stay "tooned"

you all haven't lived til you've lived with "porno" snow
for 3 straight months...
we (michigan) had 14 to 18 inches (hence, the word 'porno') of
snow fall here in november and it is just NOW melting :)
good luck...and have fun with it !

I am sooo jealous! I used to live on the coast of CT right on the tail, about an hour from NYC. I remember the blizzard of '96. 3 feet of snow in 3 days. It was great. No school for about a week and it was too funny watching my dog get up to his neck in snow. My doggie loved snow. It was his favorite thing right in front of tenis balls. He was a big husky black lab. He was HUGE. he would trot and flip and all sorts of stuff in that snow. I loved him so much. I miss my big Beau. I miss my old doggie.
Anyway now a days I get no snow because I live in NC. Damn equator or however the hell you spell it.

Here in Torrington, the snow already started, a few hours ago. We might get as much as 40 inches!
I'm not sure whether I should use a metal shovel or a plastic one to shovel all that snow. And I'd better make sure all my cats are in!
