I just got it in the mail. Funny how there's a christmas reference on the cover of the record. The newsletter is different - lots of suggested reading. Although I don't think I would bother with most of it. I read "The Middle Mind" last year. It has some interesting ideas, but it is poorly written. Not very cohesive at all. The part of the newsletter I found most interesting was the abortion part - how men have really no say or rights. I never thought of it that way.
So what did everyone else think?

Yeah, I don't mind reading suggestions, but it would have been nice to include some fiction or something other than just the political stuff. Really the only pearl jam related stuff was about the dead dog.

As I was reading the newsletter this time I felt pretty flatlined. The choices that were selected seemed very textbook and uninteresting because of the way they are written.
The one that piqued my interest slightly was 'Race Matters' by Cornel West. Otherwise, on a whole I felt pretty ...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........
I did like the newpaper format though.
And the bit about Enlarging Your Membership was pretty funny... :bigsm:

I just got mine the other day as well. The single was bigger than the others, for some reason. Did they feel bad for making us wait so long?
As far as the newsletter... I skimmed through it... the only thing I read to completion was about the dog.
Sorry, Tim!
