let the ocean swell

hi all. need a favor, (specially you sandi, cause i know this is good for you). if you live near the ocean, please go today. even if just for a minute. stand at the edge of one of the most powerful forces in our lives...inhale deeply, let the sweet ocean air permeate your body. Let the sight before you overcome your eyes, close them, give yourself a big hug and exhale. If you cannot be at the ocean, choose a place, that makes you calm and do the same. We all need it, and, going to the ocean (sandi-find me some cobalt!) is your gift to me.

my backyard, but I will be there Friday, where I am most at one, at the water. It is soooo amazingly beautiful today, I like to think a gift just for me, but one I'd share with everyone. have good day smoothie!

not sure exactly, probly oregon coast...i have friday off (wahoo!) and I really, (I mean REALLY) want to find one of the glass floats from this years festival of floats http://www.festivalofglass.com/page2.html so probably just spend the days cruising the beaches around the small towns. but really, it doesnt matter what I do, as long as I am there. Its my spiritual place. and you, weekend plans (will this glorious sunshine stick around? )...

ahh, well as long as it doesnt rain until after dinner tonight, I'd be happy....but I'll be happy even if it does rain....today is too good a day to let a little thing like that affect me...i mean, we all knew it rained when we moved here, what do we expect?

Hey Jami- I meant to read this yesterday but once the earthquake hit I got all flustered and never opened it. Funny thing tho, I *did* go down to the beach yesterday... spent a good hour or more playing with Ash down there. Maybe I'm nuts, but it seemed like there were more waves than there usually are? I didn't find any cobalt glass... this beach doesn't have much glass at all. I did find a tiny piece at Alki Beach on Monday tho! I actually found a piece of RED glass, and on Valentine's Day nonetheless!! I also found the cutest little shell at Alki- it was worn down to the shape of a heart! That's one of my favorite finds... I put it on my nature shelf right by my heart-shaped bird nest : ) Thanks for thinking of me... glad to hear you will get to spend dome time by the shore yourself.

and ASHER! Oh, I'm so so glad to hear that! I was really really hoping you'd be with him yesterday...a good present for me to know you had some time with him. Too bad about he cobalt, darn it.........maybe next time....but cool about the red glass, haven't ever found any red myself. hope your thursday is good...this head cold is kicking my ass and I feel like all I want to do is sleep...but other than that a good day so far. How'd Asher feel about the quake?

Ash was at preschool and they didn't feel a thing... I was kinda bummed, I wanted him to have felt it... since it wasn't too bad up here anyway, I don't think it was enough to scare him.

Yeah Ash is with me for a few days, I had to call the police to let his dad know I was serious about seeing him tho. Fucker.
