Pearl Jam Summer...

Okay, in the spirit of the pearl jam posts...i decided to start one. this is what i have been thinking all winter.

#1...i am BROKE....so, if they do not do a full blown tour this summer, well, that is okay with me.

but.....what i think they should do:

three days at the gorge. have they ever even played there? i dont think so. what a great venue. i think perhaps they worry that they couldn't fill it for 3 days or something. yeah right. pearl jam fans worldwide are always looking for an excuse to travel somewhere to see the band. i think if they ONLY did several gorge shows, fans from all over would come.

imagine how much FUN that would be. the campground parties alone would make the trip worthwhile. but let me be the first to say...if they ever do this, i think OUR little group here should make plans to stay at the Wild Horse campground instead of the one at the venue...so much more fun (they aren't as strict).

after seeing The Who/Counting Crows there in 2002, i am in love with the place. and ed was there, so surely he realizes how cool it would be to play a show there.

i would LOVE for them the play the gorge. I think it would be fantastic. that place is amazing. absolutley. but shaley, it's general admin. no seats. :(

hmm...i think i am confused by your post, jami...

it is just like any other amphitheater....seats and then a "lawn"...at least that is what the set up was for the who.

to clear up some confusion, they have seats available for concerts that aren't 'GA' concerts. dave matthews usually has 'seats'...

those small sections of seats are only for season house of blues ticket holders. you can't buy tickets for the seats. i've never seen any other seats set up there, the front of the stage has been open for every show I've seen there.

a fair amount of tickets are set aside for 'gorge members', but the entire lower section is 'seat ready' and they are available for purchase...

yeah that's how it was set up when we saw DMB play there.....I didn't see any GA seats at all down in the ampitheater itself, just up on the lawn.
