I know this is non-PJ related, just wanted to see what everyone thought about this. There are reports that Chris Cornell will be named the new frontman of Rage Against the Machine. Rage is my second favorite band, just seems like an odd fit. I really like Chris, just think that is not his style. Opinions anyone????

with him. I don't know if they want to be the band they once were. i think that's why they split- they sometimes just want to write music without some big political message behind each tune. It is an odd fit. He's too grunge/glamor rock and they are too..well, rage.

TO MY FRIENDS, I'M NOT A DRUNK DRIVER...I'M PRESIDENT ELECT.

Where did you hear this rumor? Sounds like a wild one. They'd be a totally different band. I think Rage is through, personally, and if they DO regroup, it'll be with B Real.

Interesting... not that Chris couldn't handle it... the folks that have heard his solo album compared to the Soundgarden stuff know how much versatility he has. I do NOT think he'll rap though:)

I still think this one isn't going to happen, though.

I would lose alot of respect for Chris if he joined RATM (I don't think it will happen).

I think Tom Morello is an excellent guitar player and that they have a very unique sound, but it galls me the way Zack used to push this pseudo communist, faux revolution message and then appear in Vanity Fair, wear Prada and Versace, release more merchandise than enyone, convieniently stage his angry outbursts for times when there were TV cameras around.....just the whole thing.

RATM shoul go their separate ways and put the whole ugly mess behind them....
