I went to see A Perfect Circle last night, it was a good show, the crowd really sucked for the first half of the show, Maynard was pissed about all the people up front using flash cameras. He also sat down on his perch in the back of the stage for the first half of the show, commenting(urging) the crowd to actually stand up on the side seats and dance or enjoy themselves, which didnt happen until they played 3 Libras. It was a short set, only played for about an hour and 15 minutes, maybe due to the subdued crowd. They played almost everything off Thirteenth Step...even did a revamped "Nurse Who Loved Me", which is much harder edged than on the record, most of the song is faster and with harder riffs and drum. I definitely have a newfound perspective/love for the live harder version of this song. Ok, the hightlights for me for the show...

-The Noose....definitely my favorite song off Thirteenth step, very powerful live

-Blue....I think Maynard said his personal favorite off the new album

-Pet and The Package.....they were flawless on both of these, Maynard and Billy were both jamming hard on these songs

-Rose....very underrated tune, best lighting effects of the night for this song

-Gravity.....one of my least favorite songs off Thirteenth Step, probably my most favorite song they played live.....blew me away!!!!

-Judith.....last song of the night, with no encore. I would say the one and only song everyone in the audience knew

Ok, I know this was long, but I have seen there are a few APC fans around here, so I thought I would give my Roger and Ebert review!!!:P
I could see them again tonight in Portland, Maine, but I have other plans. But if they come around to anywhere you guys live, chem them out, and hopefully the crowd will be better than the one I was at!!!!

That's cool dood

I hate crowds like that. It makes you feel like fucking hitting them and asking them why they even bought their fucking tickets

I haven't heard their newest album...Actually, I didn't even know that they had one out. Maybe I'll have to pick that up.

Saw them tonight. Well, technically last night, but I'm still awake... :P

Really great. Either Pet, Judith, or The Package was my favorite of the night. After the show James Iha had the mic while everyone else was gone and he was talking to the audience about shit like his birth weight while the roadies took apart the stage setup.

we saw them a couple of months ago when they hit toronto

what a great show - rose was a highlight for me - i love that
song

we had an insane crowd - just nuts - and pigmy (that's how they spell it)
love circus opened - had to be the LOUDEST band i've ever heard (enough
said)

we had one flash photo person - which is amazing considering they
empied everbody's pockets and took matches/lighters - everything
flashable - on the way in

maynard said that since he was in canada he just had to ask and the person
and they would stop because we were so polite (HA)

maynard left but the band stuck around for 1/2 an hour or so after the show and played cover tunes by request

danny worked the merch table for PLC after the show so we got
to shake his hand and say WOW!!!

he even signed a drum skin and wrote a huge note on it along
with drawing a picture of the "eye" for some guy - really nice

i hear they may be back here in a couple of months - i guess they liked us!

Currently very pissed off at them at the moment.. I've worked out their 'reasons to complex to explain' for dropping out of the BDO here in Australia, is that they'll actually be in UK / Europe.. Last gig on the BDO tour is Sun Feb 1st and my buddy Babs just got tickets to see them play London Wed 4th Feb..

I'm an unhappy camper ..
