Something is going on at Ten Club and their message board, the rumors are flying, now they just need to announce it and also fix their stupid board.

My guess is, DVD and or release of the Seattle and SB show, and also the big news, maybe, could be, the band releasing all their old concerts as bootlegs!

new name on the pearl jam store site, could be a hint, eh;)

anyone else want to make a guess?

DVDs of every show from the 2003 tour.

Heh. Probably not. (:()

Maybe the mini-tour? Seems a bit early, but maybe they're doing the shows in the spring instead.

My Guess is Kat has simply become a rabid Stephen King fan and expects to finish "It" this afternoon and just wanted to tell everyone ;)

I don't think it's just something like a single boot or a single DVD..."goooood day" implies something much more than that, in my opinion. Something MASSIVE. Unless Kat is an evil tease.

well I think releasing every concert the band ever performed on CD is pretty big news, if I am right:ditsy:

This was posted by Kat:

"I'd like to apologize for the delay. It was very unexpected and we're sorry to keep you waiting. It's still coming but not sure how long the delay will be. Maybe next time no teaser?

Love,
Kat"

Torture.

Someone posted this on Synergy and it makes sense to me:

"If it was a cd (or cds), they would just say that these are going to be available. Why make us wait? Same with a DVD. HOWEVER, a mini-tour would require tour dates, and if they're not all set, they wouldn't post anything yet, would they???"

It:

"Man of the Hour" Nov. 10th

Have you heard the one about "Big Fish"...? Because you will. It's an amazing new Tim Burton movie due out December 10, starring Ewan MacGregor, Bill Crudup, Albert Finney, Jessica Lange and Helena Bonham Carter.

"Man of the Hour" is the new song PJ wrote for "Big Fish" which you got to hear if you went to any one of the band's recent benefit shows.

I have to admit, I got to see this movie with the band and I loved it, and the song Ed wrote for it fits it to a "T"

It's one of those movies that comes along every once in awhile and just sticks to you. We all felt that way when we watched it. It makes you want to do things like go call your dad. Or ask that girl out that you've had a crush on. Or visit home. Like any really great story - it has this perfect mix of "what's going to happen next" and "ah, I can totally relate to that" with Burton's unusual and original signature style.

Ed wrote "Man of the Hour" within a few days of seeing the film. The band recorded it a few days later. It's a beautiful and perfect tribute to a really cool movie.

Cheers,
Tim Bierman, Ten Club Manager

Big fish - big news
"Man of the Hour" will be out on the "Big Fish" soundtrack December 23, but we've decided to try something different with it to get it to you sooner…which we are free to do because the movie people were really cool and open about approaching things differently, and we don't have a label saying it's not possible.

Here's what we are doing:

We are going to sell just the movie version of the song - with Ed's demo version for the b-side - as a CD single from this site. It will cost $5 bucks!
You can "pre-order" it beginning Monday, November 10th.

We'll start mailing out Cds at the end of the month.

And we will sell the "Man of the Hour" CD single on pearljam.com (and only there) thru January 23, 2004.

We are also going to try to put together some other cool online experiences, so you'll be able to at least listen to the song online beginning next week, and be able to download soon after. We'll keep you posted.

Lastly, the soundtrack to the movie will be released on Dec. 23rd in retail stores everywhere. The score is by Danny Elfman and it includes songs by Bing Crosby, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, the Vogues, the Allman Brothers Band and Canned Heat. "Man of the Hour" is the only original song.
Goodbye for now -see you all next year.

"Man of the Hour" - Read here for how it all came together.

[The beginning.]

Sept. 17 - Pearl Jam hears thru mutual acquaintance that Tim Burton would really like for them to pen a song for his movie, Big Fish.

Sept. 23 - The band loves Tim Burton's movies. Everyone is intrigued. In an uncommon occurrence, all five band members come together in the same city on the same day to see a screening of the movie arranged for them.

All five guys leave the movie, and go back to work or back to whatever they are working on. The movie and its stories continue to swim around in their heads.

That night, most of the band members call their fathers, father figures, and in some cases, mothers. [You'll get this when you see the show.]

Sept. 29-Oct.1 - A week later, Ed says he has an idea, and a few days later he hands over a demo version called "Man of the Hour" inspired by the film. The band loves it. Tim Burton loves it.

October 13-14 - They record it at Studio X in Seattle.

October 22 - They perform it for the first time to the sold out Benaroya Hall crowd (Seattle YouthCare benefit show)

[The end.]

Credits for "Man Of The Hour"
Performed by Pearl Jam
Produced by Adam Kaspar
Engineered by Sam Hofstedt
Recorded at Studio X, Seattle, WA
Mastered by Bob Ludwig, Gateway Mastering and Production, Portland, ME
Words and Music by Ed Vedder v. 2003

Love,
Katshe posted that about this thread: http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?threadid=18732
which has nothing to do with the "it" she was talking about...

altho what the "it" was isn't that exciting to me...i probably won't be able to purchase it unless they are going to accept money orders (which they probably won't)
